Is the hardware included in the monthly fee?

The monthly subscription covers software licensing, cloud dashboard access, CMMS connectors, and support. Hardware (sensors + EG-1 gateways) is purchased separately and quoted after an asset survey. Pilot and Professional plans include one or two gateway units as part of the initial hardware package — your account executive will scope this during the kickoff call. Alternatively, hardware can be leased over a 36-month term.

From hardware delivery to first live alert is typically 5 weeks: one week for on-site sensor installation and CMMS connector setup, followed by a 14-day baseline calibration period, and a final validation week. The calibration window is not idle time — our application engineer reviews the baseline signatures with your team and flags any assets that show early-stage wear patterns during calibration.

Yes. The EG-1X variant operates fully offline. Baseline models are loaded during commissioning via a signed USB transfer. Quarterly model updates are delivered as cryptographically signed firmware packages through your secure file transfer process. Alert data is pushed to your internal CMMS only — no data ever leaves your network. Air-gapped operation is available exclusively on the Enterprise plan.

Upon cancellation, you receive a full export of your historical sensor data, anomaly logs, and alert records in CSV and JSON formats within 14 days. Cloud-side data is permanently deleted 30 days after export delivery. Edge gateway data remains on-premises and is yours to retain. We do not retain customer operational data after the account closes.

EdgeRun gateways support Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC-UA, and IO-Link. This covers integration with Siemens S7 series PLCs, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Schneider Electric Modicon, and most industrial DCS platforms via OPC-UA bridging. The gateway does not require changes to existing PLC programs — it reads process data passively as a client on your OPC-UA server, or receives sensor data directly from our sensor hardware over IO-Link.
